It is said that a positive mind brings about a positive change in one’s thinking. Yes, this is true as I can attest to this as there is a great saying “If you think you can, then you can, if you think you can’t, then you cannot.” In most our lives as from early age, we are taught how to think, behave, communicate but we are never taught how to train the brain.

Have you ever heard your parent/s ever use the phrase “Use your brain”? Yes, it was said a lot to me while growing up as a youngster and it is only in my adulthood, I realized that although what is supposed to encourage you to use your brain but as a child, it was doing the opposite. It was only in my adulthood, I realized that words have a power to set the foundation of how you see yourself from a young age. I have battled with this for a long time where my self confidence was dented and having a low esteem about my abilities, as a result I use to believe that I am “dumb”. I remember my late father would encourage me to ask questions about everything, but I saw that as being dumb and he would remind me that the one that knows everything knows nothing, but the one that asks is the clever one.

It was with this in mind, that I started Positive Talk, a platform where it is to help encourage positive thinking, positive living and positive action. I then invite you to join me on this journey as we build each-other in a positive way.
